Job descriptions detail the positions and list what employees need to accomplish in their daily work; work plans tell the employees how to perform these tasks. The work plan provides employees and supervisors with an agreement outlining job responsibilities as well as assisting in clarifying tasks, setting priorities and recording progress through regular communication.

In preparing the work plan, supervisors engage employees to help them see the bigger picture of the agency as a whole with their roles within our mission and action pledge. Supervisors communicate and clarify PathStone’s mission and strategic plans; the divisional and program strategic plans; and the role of each staff member within these plans as they also work out solutions
