Indeed the colonies have been changing, we no longer need to rely on Britain in order to survive. I am proud to say that we are strong now, able to survive throughout the seasons. I met a man by the name of Patrick Henry, a genius who is unafraid to speak his mind. How brave he is to share his opinions/ideas even if some think they are outrageous. His words have influenced they way I think. He gives a fresh perspective to the colonies. I need to share with you what has been going on. One thing that struck me was when Patrick Henry said “Are fleets and armies necessary to a work or love and reconciliation? Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled that force must be called back in to win back our love?” He makes a good point, should our motherland come with forces in order to prove their love? This causes many colonists to feel shaken, and even at times unsafe. Bring force to the picture is causing tension. Force does not equal love.
