Introduction
(Attention getter) In today’s day and age, we have many freedoms, such as in our education, our culture, and how we are able to spend our free time. Now imagine how life would be under the enslavement of the British. We could have limited education being minorities, be forcefully assimilated into other ways of life from proper etiquette to religious beliefs, and we could especially be forced to do the hard laboring work for a culture that we don’t even consider ours. Without this persuasive speech of Patrick Henry, at the Virginia Convention in 1755, there may have never been a Revolutionary War, and Americans could have been enslaved by the British for a millenia.
