PAUL ROBESON NO ONE CAN SILENCE ME

Paul Roberson, was born in the city of Princeton in New Jersey, on April 9,1998. Pablo was the youngest. When Paul was born, his father was fifty - three years old and his mother was forty - five.

Paul’s father, William Drew Robeson, was born into slavery in Martin County, North Carolina. After escaping from Pennsylvania slavery and when he was fifteen years old he entered school and became a minister.

Paul’s mother was a teacher and his roots went back to the Bantu people of Africa.

And the rest of the family had been in a slave organization, which had been very disdainful for a long time. The organization was called The Free Society and also The Underground Railroad.

Paul’s classmates were mostly white, and he had resented such a talented model. For his calm and relaxed character, he made many admirers although the social intention was frowned upon.

But Reverent Robeson had taught him that blacks could not have those achievements and be nice to whites and that he must understand his place and act accordingly.

In 1915, Paul won a statewide written exam for a four - year scholarship to Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Later when he joined the soccer team, the other players beat him until he left with was in agreement with racial equality. The coach told the other players that anyone who if he tried to hurt Robeson would be immediately kicked off the team.
