I have previously volunteered with Paw's Pantry. As I previously mentioned when speaking of The Campus Kitchen at IUPUI, poverty is a social issue which I am particularly passionate about. Paw's Pantry serves a resource to those facing food insecurity, which often goes hand-in-hand with poverty. I am grateful to know that I have helped play a part in ending both poverty and food insecurity to IUPUI faculty, staff, and students.

In particular, I vividly recall volunteering with Paw's around Thanksgiving during my freshman year of college. We had prepared special Thanksgiving bags which contained traditional boxed and canned goods served for Thanksgiving, along with a gift card for Kroger so that the client could also afford a turkey.
