“I will take out the trash for 5 dollars.” That can be your child’s answer when you pay them for good grades, and they may ask you for everything they do. Paying students for good grade isn’t a good idea. It can lead to practical problems in their classroom. In addition, it will increase stress at school. It also dampened child’s natural enthusiasm for learning. Although paying students for good grade is a bad idea as it leads to practical problems in their classroom, it increases stress at school, and it dampened child’s natural enthusiasm for learning. First of all, students shouldn’t get paid for the good grade since it leads to practical problems in their classrooms. According to NEA article, “Many teachers also paying students for good grade leads to practical problems in their classrooms, including pressure to inflate grades and conflict with students and parents.” This means if students get paid for school, there would be bullied on the school campus, cuz the other students that didn’t receive the money want the money, too. In fact, the school will become more of a job, and increase stress on students. Based on Sanford Dornbush, “School becomes more of a job than a place for education.” This leads to more stress on students, so when their grade drop, they would be super stressful, then depression comes, and they may commit suicide.
