In all books, setting plays an important role in how the reader understands the book. For instance, in the fiction resource, Peak, the story takes place throughout the course of three months, and in a few extremely different places. The story starts off when Peak Marcello is in the moment of climbing the Woolworth Building in Manhattan. It was March of 2007 and snow was coming down in heaps. The next week went by in a flash because Peak was arrested and went to court for trespassing. After this, his father invited Peak to join him on a Mt. Everest expedition.
