Pendulum Lab
What influences the period of a pendulum?
Hypothesis: The mass of pendulum/washer will influence the time of the pendulum/washer by increasing, including the length of the string. (The longer the string, the faster it will go.)
Materials:
stop watch meter stick washer pendulum string Procedure:
1. Tie the string.
2. Angle it to a degree you wish.
3. Let go of the string and count the frequency (swings) for 30 seconds.
4. Record your data in the data table.
5. Repeat the experiment four more times for accuracy of the results and record the findings in the data table.
6. Do another set of trials involving washers and another involving the length of the string.

Conclusion
The problem of this experiment was to determine the effect of the starting angle of a pendulum on the frequency of the swinging pendulum. When comparing the pendulum with a starting string length of 20 cm to 52 cm, the frequency period went from 1.02 to 2.3, which contradicts the hypothesis, which stated that the longer the string, the faster it will go. Since this investigation showed inconclusive results, there may have been factors that affected the results. One source of error was that the pendulum
