This statement is one of the fundamental amendments that bestows upon citizens of the United States the right to own and therefore make use of weapons. What would be the effect of limiting the American public’s weapons? What would this restriction or limitation hold in store for the safety of the American public? The effect of limiting weapons as a whole is a broad topic, so in this essay, I will focus my attention on guns, as the majority of homicides are committed using these weapons.
