Penicillin's ability to cure people of their many once-fatal bacterial infections has saved so many lives that it is easy to understand why it was once called a “miracle drug”. The following paragraphs tells of the inventor of Penicillin and how and why it was invented.
The inventor is Alexander Fleming. His parents were Hugh Fleming and Grace Morton. Hugh and Grace were both farmers. He had three siblings Grace Fleming, John Fleming and Robert Fleming and four half-siblings who were the surviving children from Alexander’s father’s first marriage Jane Fleming, Hugh Fleming , Thomas and Mary). He was married to Sarah Fleming until she died in 1949 and then he got married to Amalia Fleming in 1953 until 1955 when he died. With his first wife he had a son named Robert Fleming. He was born on August 6, 1881 in East Ayrshire, United Kingdom and he died on March 11, 1955 in London, England.

It was invented because people were dying from a lot of different diseases like the flu so he tried to make the influenza vaccination more progressive but in the process he figured out an antibiotic to counteract other illnesses like an ear infection. It fights harmful bacteria in your body. Penicillin is used to treat many different types of infections caused by this bacteria, such as ear infections. It was originally in a powder form and made into a tablet
