People's Attention Depicted In The Movie, The Brave One

The movie The Brave One I notice that it held more people’s attention because the movie had a faster pace. The producers did this by not showing the Erica Bain (Jodie Foster) crying over losing her fiancé, David Kirmani (Naveen Andrews). Instead it was more of a “fast forward” through this part and then showed how the fear that is now instilled in her because of getting shot. However, in the movie In the Bedroom was a slower paced movie and brought light to the court process. In the movie Natalie Strout (Marisa Tomei) was an informant and by just a few words her husband, Richard Strout (William Mapother), was going to get off with manslaughter. In the Bedroom there was a common theme of red prior to the shooting. This was foreshadowing the eventual killing of Frank Fowler (Nick Stahl). …show more content…
This was done to show the grieving of losing her fiancé. In The Brave One the acting by Foster through dealing with killing other people was executed well because it showed her wondering if certain feelings and actions were normal. Also you always knew when some thing serious was going to happen because the music would become more prevalent and it had an old horror movie vibe. In the Bedroom has acting that is executed well; the grieving mother Ruth Fowler (Sissy Spacek) is one of the better ones. She is able to start out as more of pushing her feelings to the side and then she is able to portray the outbursts of frustration well because it isn’t too much to think that she is over dramatic but enough to understand what she might be feeling
