Objective:
Experimentally determining the melting and freezing point of paradichlorobenzene by heating and cooling experiment. Data was gathered from the experiments and made into a graph. In this report sections of the graph will be discussed as to their heat lost and gained and phase changes.

Materials: Sample in test tube with thermometer ring stand ring clamp wire gauze 400ml beaker (w/tap H2O) Beaker tongs thermometer for beaker H2O Pipette goggles Bunsen burner Striker Beaker of cold H2O

Obtain goggles, went over grabbed chemical, put H2O in a beaker, grabbed two thermometers, placed on thermometer in H2O, placed the other thermometer in the chemical, grabbed wire gauze, turned on Bunsen burner, placed chemical and beaker of H2O over flame, heated to 95 degrees Celsius, took off flame, let air cool, and took readings ever minute.
