I was first introduced to what a nursing assistant was, when a coworker of mine had enrolled into the program and had talked to me about it. I never truly thought about becoming a nursing assistant and brushed off what my coworker had mentioned to me. Until, the last year of high school when I job shadowed an EMT. The job shadow had completely changed the career that I wanted. EMTs are quick in helping and spend less time with the patients than that of a nurse or a nursing assistant. During the job shadow I realized that I wanted to spend more time with patients and getting to know them. I want to spread happiness and help people that are in need.
