When you have the chance to help someone out of a difficult situation you feel this piece of joy inside of you. Not everyone gets this chance to change someone’s life. You basically have someone’s life in the palm of your hands. You feel the adrenaline rush throughout your body because of the commotion that would be happening around you. A physician assistant sees it all and learns from watching. From the operating room to the emergency room they do it all, there could be less or more commotion it just varies on what is happening at the time. It’s the joy of knowing that you are helping to save someone’s life by being a physician assistant. I had asked her “What is the best part of your job” and she had a very interesting response, “the best part of my job has to be helping out my patients, them knowing that I’m here to help them recover from whatever illness or injury they had.” The following question that I had was “what has to be the worst part of your job”, her reply was sad because these are the type of things that a physician assistant has to deal with, “the worst part of my job has to be giving patients bad news if something has gone wrong, or even delivering bad news to their families because that is very something hard to tell someone.” It really hit hard when she had gave me that response because it had showed that physician assistants have some hard news to deliver sometimes. Another question that I had asked her was. “How many hours do you usually work in a week” Patricia had worked a tremendous amount of hours, “I usually work 48 hours every week, sometimes I work different hours I usually work different days but it just depends on the type of schedule that I am put
