Personal Narrative: A Career As A Sports Reporter

I would like to apply for the Sports Reporter position because I feel it would be an excellent way to further my career as a writer. With my English background, and training in both creative and professional writing, I feel I would be a great asset to the reporting team at The Journal. At my time at Hamline, I learned not only how to write, but how to analyze my writing so that what I produce is the most effective way of communicating with a wide array of audiences. I was also trained in writing using a variety of modes, as to maximize the absorption of content.
