Does everything people say ever go in one ear and out the other? That whatever they had to say was irrelevant. That the time they were taking talking to you they could have just been doing something else. Maybe even feel that they are wasting their breathe. But now looking back maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have payed attention.

Im coming into my junior year at our usaul workout and im about to get excactly what ive been wanting. Thinking im about to get exactly what i want. A starting spot to prove myself. I was only two days aways from getting my dream. Something that i have been working for since i was a kid. Basiclly all my life i was dedicated to school and sports. On a hot day with barely any breeze. We were doing our regular drills but now it was time for workouts. Coach tells the team we have ramp runs. Coach says “ Utomi! Your up first”. I wasnt to confedient in running because i not fast. Until some says “ Watch how slow”. Of course coach hears then coach tells me ‘ Prove them wrong Utomi! Show them what starters do”. Now im all hyped up ready to go. Waiting on coaches mark . ‘Go” yelled coach. Now im running up the ramp as fast as I can. Almost to the top i feel a pull in my left leg. Coach gave me my starting spot on the football time i was the happeist man in the universe. Today was our first game . I woke up bright an early cook breakfest did early morining chors. Walking out my house to go to the bus stop my mom askes me to take the trash out before i go. Easy and simple taking the trash out it wasnt so easy this time. When i went to threw the trash as i threw it i felt the same gruesome pain from last time. I limped back to my house and told my mom “ i felt a pull in my leg help”. After examining my legs and rubbing it i felt fine. Told my mom “I’m ready to go to school” not trying to remind her I have a game today but as soon i finished my sentence my mom said “ Don’t you dare play in that game. Your health is more important than anything.” She just kept going on and on and on about how I shouldn’t play and there was my
