A New Perspective
As I sit here staring at the clock, I’m just hoping that we won’t have to get on that bus, that the bell won’t ring. But it did. We all picked up our bags and headed outside as it was time for our 6th grade field trip. We arrived downtown just as lunch was getting started, and I couldn’t help to keep wondering why we were even here. What difference could I possibly make by being here? I was sitting in the back corner of the bus as it parked and saw people entering the building. Watching all the people walk in with their ripped up, oversized and dull looking sweaters made me dread being at the homeless shelter even more.
