Personal Narrative: Achieving The American Dream

Many people in the U.S are trying to achieve the American Dream but to many people the American Dream means different things. The basic idea of the American Dream is getting a family,a job that pays well, and living a simple life in the suburbs. For a while now the idea of the American Dream has been changing. When a person has reached the American Dream they do not realise how easy it is for that life to be taken away. Personally, I think of the American Dream as everybody else thinks of it, I believe the only way to achieve it is by living a simple life by getting a family and achieving happiness, but as with other people my conception of the American Dream is becoming misconstrued by everything that is beginning to happen for example …show more content…
So my partner and I kinda set up a theme with what was gonna be seen throughout the main message of the video. We slowly transitioned from the kinda upper class portion of the city to the countryside to show the different types of classes in a state to then show the lowest of the low which are the people in Africa are struggling to survive every single day. We slowly transitioned into a baby growing up and being able to achieve the American Dream in its entirety, but to then have it taken away in a matter of moments and it's just hard to believe how easily a life can be compromised in a matter days,weeks,or months by one wrong decision in which the gun being fired towards the end is kind a representation of the baby you saw grow up and its climax being killed and at the very end the person looking at the tombstones is suppose to be that child looking at his own grave also this little segment can also show how fast your life can go by but most importantly shows the American Dream in full throttle. You may have realised each person is different when we show the child growing up. We did this to show how many people in the United States are living similar lives to each
