Personal Narrative: An Interview With Mrs. Delcampo

he other day i had the great opportunity to interview Mrs. Delcampo who is currently the immigrant eliason at fort morgan high school. She came to the united states sixteen years ago after her husband had been working in the united states for some time. Her husband had gotten into the United states legally and she had the opportunity to fix her papers before actually entering into the united states. Mrs. Delcampo had a very lucky break in being able to fix up her papers before coming into the u.s. And was more straight forward to the experience that many other immigrants have. Compared to my mother who came at an early age without having had the opportunity to have the papers set up the right way, further more she was still being taken care of by her parents and lived with them while starting at the brush high school.
Nevertheless when Mrs. Delcampo came to the U.S. she was already an adult who didn't have to worry about many of the things other immigrants

Delcampo had, she was still wet behind the ears as they say. Living quarters weren't exactly set up when they got here or a job. Luckily she didn't have to worry about that a much since she was going to high school so the biggest problem she had was the fact that she spoke in a since no english what so ever. Her paperwork wasn't set up correctly for some years yet but in the end everything was set up.
There were few similarities but there was some, for starters when coming to the U.S. they both spoke little to no english and really didn't know what they were getting themselves into. Now as adults they have more similarities then in the past like the fact that they both work in the education system and help students who can't speak english very comfortably. Then, the fact that they both have children now. In the end two very different starts ended up leading to very similar
