My father once shared with me a story from my childhood about the time I learned to ride a bike. My parents were in the driveway conversing with a neighbor when I decided to ride my bike. I successfully drove it out to the end of the culvert when the front tire stuck, resulting in my prompt ejection over the handlebars. My concerned parents rushed over to check on me. Undaunted, I jumped back on the bike, circled around, and tried again to the same effect. Determined I tried once more and successfully made it over the culvert.

I believe that this story from my youth illustrates superior potential, ambition, and great promise. It reflects an attitude and determination displayed in my childhood that has developed as I have grown older. I
