I was nervous to come to this school because of how big it is and because of having different and multiple teachers. However my older friends that were already in sixth grade helped me through it in the beginning. I was glad that there was an open house and we got a tour of the school before it even started.
In sixth grade, we had a lot fun throughout the year with field trips and projects in classes. However we didn’t know who we were yet and wanted to fit in with everyone none of us actually stopped to think about others so all we did was fool around and tease others. We were changed as students from being all happy and friendly in the intermediate school, but as soon as we were a month into school we started to become the opposite. We fought with each other, we bickered, and teased.
In seventh grade, it was a lot better than sixth because we were staring to find out who we are. We began to start accepting our peers and stopped fighting with each other. We did our first dissections in science, we learned about the Native Americans and the early pioneer life of America in social studies, and in English we read a book every three weeks and shared what it was about. We went to the fairy beach ecology school for a couple of days and learned about nature and what critters and animals lived there.

Some of us went to Washington D.C. for three to four days and it was the most fun field trip that we’ve ever had. We learned about scripts, poems, stories, annotating and a bunch of other things with Ms. Gosselin in English. In Science a couple of us tried this independent study for Mr. Sandri, we learned about climate change, the solar system, the ocean etc. In social studies we learned about the French and Indian War, World War one, early America and a couple other things.
