It was two days after the Sabbath and I woke up just before dawn. I clothed myself and had some left over bread from the day before for breakfast. I headed out towards the town to find work. The sun was just starting to pop up over the horizon and the town was starting to become lively and filled with people. Once I arrived in the town I met up with all the other laborers looking to find work for the day. A landowner looking for laborers to work in his vineyard approached us and asks us if we could tend to his vineyard. The landowner and I agreed on the usual daily wage and he led me and few other laborers back to his property. When we arrived at his property his started to show us around and instruct us on what we were supposed to do. By this time now the sun was up, but it was still very early in the morning. It was the time of the year when the grapes were ready to be harvested off the vines to be made into wine. I started my way up and down the rows of the vineyard collecting the grapes off the vines and putting them in a container. After doing this for about an hour and half I went to go take a break. The first worker believes that since he and a few other laborers were the first ones at the Vineyard, any other workers hired after them are not equal to them and that they should not be treated or payed in the same manner as them. This mindset ends up being very detrimental for our character when it comes time for the landowner to pay all the laborers. When he realizes all the workers were paid the same he becomes furious and confronts the landowner because he was envious and believed he was owed more than what was given to
