Persuasive Essay

Be yourself is what I said when I was try to fit in and be noticed. “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” This quote means you have to have courage in yourself to be yourself in the future. This quote is in the story and it’s her future self taking to her younger self and the older one is saying you will lose yourself if she keeps spending trying to find herself. This all relates to me because I have been in her spot trying to find myself and almost losing myself.

Be yourself is a short story I relate to because I have wanted to be someone else other than me. I Hang out by myself even though I have friends and talk to no one unless they talk to me first. A few years ago all I wanted was to fit in like in the …show more content…
It was hard to make new friends. Some days people would try to talk to me and I would talk back but I would never talk to them again. That's when I found some of my best friends but I didn't know it at that time. I was so busy trying to find myself I didn’t realize all the friends I made.

When I started my 7th grade year I had a lot of friends in my classes. I my lunch class I only knew one person so we didn’t know where to sit at lunch we found a table and the people there were really nice. One of those girls is still one of my best friends today. Just like the girl in the story Be Yourself she had friends she was just so concerned about finding herself she didn’t realize all the friends she had. I did the same thing all throughout my 6th and 7th grade years.

I’m in 8th grade now and I have a lot of friends and I am being myself and loving it. I don’t worry about who I’m not friends with and I hang out more with my friends. I’m not worried about finding myself because I have a whole life to live. I not going to worry about being popular and about having a lot of friends.
