Ka’Ziah Phillips, eight ounces, twenty inches long, twelve hours of labor; priceless moments I never want to go away. Life is a beautiful thing to experience and a horrible thing to waste. The most important thing that has happened to me so far would have to be giving birth to my child! Becoming a mother has changed my life in so many ways; but the three most important ways to me would be my personal life, my responsibilities, and having patience. There isn’t a handbook on how to raise your child the right way because if there was, everyone would be the same, so I do it the best way I can. Since we are both watching each other grow and develop, I’m just waiting to see what the future holds in store for us. My personal life meaning going out with friends, kicking back chilling without any care in the world, or even dating, I just don’t have time for those things any more. With school, trying to get a job, and being a single mother full time is a lot to handle with only 24 hours in a day. I look forward to waking up to her every day because there is always something I can learn from her or something she can learn from me. My biggest problems with becoming a teen mother were my personal life, my responsibilities, and having patience. I never said it was easy, but if you love and enjoy your child as I do mine, then it should be worth the change. Sometimes I look back and think to myself, how was I as a baby? Is Ka’Ziah anything like me? What would she be like in the future? Only thing you really can do is wait and see what she becomes.
