Personal Narrative: Becoming A State Alchemist

I found it rather ironic that we, as humans, have a tendency of pining after the things that we can't have. I would soon find that I would taste this bittersweet irony because of one choice, to become a State Alchemist. Despite practically having been disowned by my village I became a state alchemist and that's where I found this realization. At the age of 15 I became ONE of the youngest people to become a State Alchemist. They called me the Stardust Alchemist because I managed to create and recreate things with stardust, the thing that makes up the world, though I wasn't known everywhere I was praised by many in the military especially Lt. I was scouting information about the Elric boys. Something about Edward and his brother was... Off. Though Alphonse was a kindly kid there were things that I never fully grasped about him. I had come to the conclusion that talking to Riza was my best hope. She was working on some paperwork when I came to her. I didn't bother saluting because to me she was more than a higher ranking officer. "Hey, Riza, I need your help." She glared up at me. It was a scrutinizing glare. "Don't let Colonel Mustang see you in that tiny skirt. He has this idea that when he becomes Furher he'll require all the woman in the military and I was hoping he'd let go of that idea." I rolled my eyes though I intended to be gone before Mustang could notice, "I need you to tell me something." I inquired. The look Riza gave me went from scrutinizing to genuine curiosity. "Fullmetal and his brother Alphonse, how did they become part of the military? Their both so young." Riza sighed, "That's not really my story to tell. Maybe you should ask Al.
