Personal Narrative: Black Thanksgiving

November was an exciting month. It was filled with spending time with family and friends and helping other. In November, I raked leaves for my friends neighbor, had my family over to my house for Thanksgiving, and I went Black Friday shopping. November was an exciting month. In the beginning of the month, Charlize Miller, Valerie Hudson, Madeleine King, and I Raked leaves as a service project for 8 Blue CARES. The house behind Charlize’s used to be a farm with a bunch of land but they sold their land so a neighborhood could be put in. The guy that owned the land died a few months ago so, we helped out his wife. We raked the yard, mowed the lawn, and trimmed bushes. It was so much fun helping out and getting to do it with my friends. Also in November, both sides of my family came over for Thanksgiving. I have a pretty small family since my dad is an only child and my mom only has one sister. Thanksgiving was really special this year because it was probably the last Thanksgiving where my whole family will be together and because my aunt just had a baby so it was his first Thanksgiving. My mom and I picked up my friend, who had never been Black Friday shopping before, around ten o’clock am. We first went to Target to pick a few things and then we headed out to Park City. We went to a bunch of different stores but many of them didn’t have good deals. I only got a few things but it still was fun being out with the crowds. After Park City we went to Michael’s to grab a few things to decorate the house for Christmas then we headed back to my house to hangout. It was a very fun day.
