Personal Narrative: Buford Trout Hatchery

It was a beautiful day today with the sky clear from the clouds and the temperature outside was relatively warm. As I drove past the lake with its flawless surface sparkling beneath the sun, I made my way toward the entrance of Little Ridge Park. As I was parking my car, there was no one at the entrance, even though there were cars parked outside. This made the atmosphere pretty quiet overall. Initially, I felt more curious than excited because I expected people to be around the area, according to the locals at the Buford Trout Hatchery. As I entered the trail, the sky became less visible with each step that I took. The trail was very fully encircled by trees, and there were many paths along the trail I could follow. So I popped the trunk open to grab the fishing rod, tackle box, and cinch bag. The fishing spot is close to the parking exclusively for vehicles with boats. As I made my way to the fishing spot, I came across 3 teenagers that were playing close to the water and then immediately ran into the car and then quickly left the scene. After seeing the car leave, I said, “What was that even about?” I didn’t really understand what they were doing. After a couple of steps, I can see the courtesy dock through the trees, which tells me that I am pretty close. After arriving at the nearest fishing spot, there was no one to be seen at the fishing spot. The only thing I’ve seen was a boat driving offshore. As I made my way to the dock, I was surprised by the look of the dock. Initially, I thought the dock was made out of wood because of the lines and patterns it has. But going close to it, it was made out of metal, making it very durable. There was also a boat ramp to the far right of me, which explains why there were 2 different parking spaces. After I was fully settled at the dock, I cast my fishing rod out towards the body of the water. With no one to be seen, I
