Over the past four years of my life I have become more closely connected to my faith in ways I could have never imagined, After my bat mitzvah, I did not have much interest in continuing to practice my Jewish faith. In the summer before my sophomore year of high school, I went on a trip to Israel with BBYO. I remember being nervous about meeting new people and going to a place I knew little about. When I got to Israel I immediately felt at home and had an amazing and life changing experience. Ever since my trip to Israel I have become connected with my faith in so many ways. In high school, I started taking the time to really use my faith as a way to connect with others.
