It was a normal snowy winter day at Sublette Elementary. Mrs.Lee’s 5th grade class was in for a treat. My whole class heard a very loud something outside. I rushed to the window and saw a helicopter with the number 88 on the side. 88 is the number of Dale Earndhardt Jr’s racecar. I thought this wasn’t real Dale Earndhardt Jr. A super famous NASCAR driver!
Dale had time off between the Indianapolis 450 and the Daytona 500. I won a sweepstakes where I could invite any famous person to my school. When we got to our class room my whole class asked questions, like does it take a lot of commitment to keep going, and what made you want to become a racer.
