The case to defund Planned Parenthood

My goal in this speech is to inform you why I believe Planned Parenthood should be defunded. I understand everyone has different experiences in life that shape their perspective. I will describe my experience with Planned Parenthood.
I was nineteen years old facing an un-planned pregnancy. I was terrified. I felt as if I had nowhere to turn. I felt so alone. At the time, I was living with my Grandmother. I looked in the phone book under “Pregnant” hoping to find help. The first and largest ad I saw read, Pregnant? We can help.” Unsure of what sort of help I needed, I thought this was at least a start. I called and scheduled an appointment. Walking into the center, I felt relieved to speak to someone who had knowledge in this area. The nice woman I met with helped me figure out that I was 14 weeks’ gestation. I didn’t know I was that far along. I began to weep. I cried for my future, I cried for my Grandmother. I didn’t want to disappoint her. The nice lady patted my back and said, “We’ll take care of this for you.” No options, no choices, this was the direction I was being steered. I explained to this lady that I had no money, I told her that I didn’t know what I was going to do. Again, I was reassured that “it” would be handled. I didn’t need to come up with any money. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! These people were going to help me, for free?

How can we say it is wrong to kill yet kill the smallest and most innocent among us? It is such hypocrisy to say it is acceptable for a mother to have her own child killed yet if a stranger killed that same child he would be guilty of murder! How can we, the tax payers, be forced to fund this to the tune of half a billion dollars
