My elementary teachers have always told me, “Dress for Success!” So what was missing in my outfit? I never realized the effect my appearance could have until I attended interviews and auditions for middle school. To me, dressing for success means being prepared, representing myself and my school respectfully, as well as, communicating that you care about what’s occurring.
Being prepared is going to help in any situation. During a job or school interview, there is very little time to really get to know an applicant and the decisions are usually based on a person’s resume, appearance, and how they present themselves. If I enter prepared, organized and dressed for success, I will be better respected than someone who’s not. Most people never know
