It was not easy to convincing my parents into letting me have a job; it took great preservation and reasoning. All of my friends had jobs and I was the only one without one. Although, I didn’t want a job to fit in with society, I wanted it for a specific reason. I planned to save up the money for college. When I had finally got the job at Texas Burger/ Subway I could barely wait for the first day.
I enjoyed working with my boss, managers, and my co-workers. They seemed very nice to me, except for one, her name is Rikayla. The reason I wasn’t fond of Rikayla was because she had a bad attitude. Without hesitation, I told them about Rikayla’s mistreatment and how I begun to hate working there. Word even spread to my managers about how I felt and as I was headed home from work one stopped me. One of the managers, Mrs. Iva, told me that she had a conversation with Rikayla about her attitude. She told Rikayla that if she didn’t fix her attitude, than she would be fired. I was shocked that she would fire Rikayla because she had worked at Texas Burger/ Subway for three years. The next day Rikayla sent me a message saying that she needed to speak with me and in return I said that I needed to speak to her too. I braced myself the next day and I was determined to let her know how I felt about her. When I met up with Rikayla I had let go all the feelings I held inside and I didn’t know what had overcome me. I realized in the midst of it all, I was yelling at her and when I finished I couldn’t even look her in the eyes. I just stared at the ground waiting for her response. I was nervous; I thought she would reciprocate; especially, since I told Mrs. Iva what she does wrong. Instead, she only apologized to me and said that she was just intimidated by me. I forgave her and said that we should just start
