Personal Narrative Essay: Moving To The US

The one time when I have to deal with a circumstance where I have a big decision is when the time when my parents have found a found a new house they are interested to buy, but me and my older brother, David would have to make a big decision to make that can impact our life that we are used to. It all started from 8th grade, walking home from a cold, December afternoon, when my mom surprised me with the news of she found a “perfect” house for our family. It was her dream to have our own house to live in since moving to the U.S. I asked, “Well… where is the new house at?” and then suddenly saw my mom’s sullen look in her face. She rub my shoulder and said, “Yeah about that… it’s far away from Chicago. It's in Naperville.” I didn’t say anything for about a minute, thinking about the things that I going to miss like my close friends that I’ve met throughout my many years I’ve been in my school, which is only 2 blocks away from my house. …show more content…
After my mom told my brother about the house, he stayed silent from minute and suddenly shouted, “But I don’t want to go!” “I can’t go away with my best friends!” My dad was so shock when my brother said that because my brother doesn’t really react that much. He stormed off and went to his room. I look at my parent’s face has that shock and also regret from their eyes. My dad went to see of my brother is ok and my mom, looking pale, have asked me: “Do you really want to move? I thought you really excited about moving to a new house. “Well I’m really excited about finally found a house having a bigger room than what I have now, but I really already have really close friends that I made in Chicago. I don’t to start all over again. Knowing nobody.” In a serious tone, my mom said, “Go to your room. I’ll talk about it to your dad. Go finish your homework ok?”. I nodded and went to my room
