Cancer is a terrible disease and comes in more than one form. Growing up I was oblivious to the worlds issues, like most young kid my days were filled with crying about my sibling taking my toy or who got on the A honor roll in elementary school. It wasn't until late eighth grade that I realized my days didn't revolve around school and friends. I had always known that my grandpa and mother had been sick, I just hadn't realized how sick they were until the middle of my eighth summer. All of the sudden my grandpa started to need a wheelchair to get around to my soccer games and my mother's energy had depleted significantly.
