Personal Narrative: Going Into High School

Going into high school you need to make some big decisions. You need to decide whether you are going to put effort into your school work, or if you're going to go party on the weekends. You need to decide if the consequences are worth it. I went into to high school with the mindset that I was going to put in effort, do my school work, and to follow my parents rules.
My favorite classes so far in high school are Culinary, World History, and English 10. I love all three of those teachers because we can have a fun time while still getting our work done. Culinary is one of my favorite classes because I love to cook, and I get to cook with some of my closest friends. Bobbi, Dakota, Skyler, Macie and I made a Halloween themed tiered cake together. We designed the bottom half to look like a spider web, and we made the top look like a pumpkin. Our team ended up getting first place in the tiered cake contest. My other favorite class in World History with Mr. Trask because he is a comical guy. Everyday he always tells a joke, or makes fun of someone in our class. There wasn’t a day in that class where he didn’t make us laugh. My last favorite class in English 10 because a lot of my closest friends are in that class, and it’s always a fun time. I play both high school volleyball and AAU volleyball. We got a new head varsity coach this year for school volleyball, and she made me dislike the sport. The only people she ever paid attention to were the senior girls. Every practice the juniors and sophomore played warrior the whole time. We never learned anything new, or how to get better. We also only went in the weight room three times, and that was to maxout. She always made us maxout two days before we had a tournament which sucked because we would be to sore, and we couldn’t give any effort. I wish she would resign or that Coach McGuire would become the head varsity
