Personal Narrative: Growing Up In Huntington Beach

Growing up in Huntington Beach, California you are surrounded by the beach and a busy nightlife that is packed with college kids and locals every night. Many nickname Downtown Huntington Beach as the “heart of Orange County.” The nightlife in Huntington Beach has a place for everyone, whether you want to line dance and listen country music at Black Bull Chop House or dance the night away to a mixture of EDM and hip-hop at Hurricanes and not to mention you are only a ten minute drive from downtown Newport. It is the home of the fish bowls, my twenty-first birthday and it is where I met some of my best friends. There are countless of places to go and things to do. So, when making the decision to pack up and leave Huntington Beach to move to Flagstaff, Arizona one of my main priorities was having a place where I could meet new people, relax …show more content…
Flagstaff and Huntington Beach have their distinct differences, but now both hold a special place in my heart. A night out in Flagstaff gives you the chance to meet people, have good drinks and dance your heart out with no judgment by anyone. There is a place for everyone here. If you’re looking to dance Collins is the place for you and if you want to socialize with good music Monsoons is waiting for you with open arms. Each bar has something new and exciting to offer and each will leave you with a different and good memory, which is what it did for me. Although, if you aren’t someone who likes loud music, flashing lights and big crowds I would suggest checking out a different bar that I’m sure Flagstaff has and be prepared to see numerous amounts of girls crying on curbs and guys screaming in alleys about nonsense, but if you can get by that you are in for a treat. My night exceeded my expectations and surpasses any amount of stars I could rate it. New memories and friendships await just a couple miles from your
