“I’m so excited!” I say in joy. “I will get to homeschool a little girl. I always wanted to be a teacher!” I began to remember the time I was blind and couldn’t see anything. I went to Perkins, and the people there were great. They taught me how to read and write. I learned how to read, but I could only read for short periods of time! I walked inside Helen’s house. Her parents came to me. “You must be Anne Sullivan! Please, make yourself at home.” They led me to Helen’s room.
