Personal Narrative: High School Soccer Team

My soccer team at the chance of winning the high school soccer league in the final had a pessimistic altitude. We met the best team in the school as most people said because they had many outstanding players. My team, however, did not have any remarkable player; we just had a solitary unity.
Before the match, I – the captain of the team said to all of my team that we needed to stay positive and to stand together if we wanted to won this tournament. Then, I showed them the weaknesses and the strengths of my team to improve our performances in this important match.
The first half of the final, we were fighting a rearguard action almost from the start. The best striker of the adversary had many chances, but our goalkeeper did well to prevent him and to keep the match under the control. Unfortunately, the situation got worse when we had two injured players, especially after kicking another player, our best defender was given a red card and send off the field.

I replied with decisive tone: “Nothing is impossible if we are determined”. Then, I spent time to pointed out many mistakes of the defend system as well as the way to defeat the opponent. Afterward, we all had the faith in victory.
The second half was played in the same way as the first one. However, in the last-minute of the match, I have the ball in the middle of the field; I dashed into the penalty box and was made a mistake in this area. We got a penalty kick, but everyone in my team did not dare to do this. At that moment, I took this responsibility without think anything. Finally, I did it.
