The scent of fresh cut grass fill my sinuses, bringing with it the overwhelming rush of dopamines. A whimsical whisper escapes through my lips as the rest of my team falls in formation behind me “This is it.” Going through the rigorous season was challenging, but nothing would compare to the hardships of winning state. “Batters’ up” was announced by the aged umpire.
