Personal Narrative: How Alpha Changed My Life

It was a cool Wednesday, when I came back from 4 th grade, 3 hours later in, Montclair, Vernon Avenue. I lived in a small house, was old and ugly. Someone rented the garage in the back, which was really uncomfortable. I had a dog called “ Alpha” meaning the 1st one. I thought that name was majestic, I still say that even today. The only problem was how Alpha and I had a poor relationship back then. I considered Alpha to be less important in life, doing other things instead of spending time with him. I thought nothing bad would ever happen from the careless actions I make with Alpha. I was mistaken.

It was about 5:20 when I heard one of my neighbors knocking on my door. I didn't really care, since I was too lazy to get the door.

I sat down, trying to calm him down, at the same time, checking his pulse. At that time I suddenly cared about Alpha no other pet owner could of ever cared. He glanced at me, with the black eyes he always had as a puppy. From then on, checking his pulse, Alpha's pulse began to decrease, each time making me think how much time he has left.

Neighbors around me tired to call the Animal Hospital, but they were closed since the late time. There was no miracles to come. I sat there petting his fur, feeling his hair for the last time, wondering why I was actually caring for him.

My dad finally came with his truck. We picked Alpha up into the truck and started it trying to find at least the slightest hope that an animal hospital would be open.

We drove around shelters, but they were all closed. We then reached the last animal hospital around montclair. We tried to open the doors,... closed!?I looked back in the truck hoping Alpha was still alive.

Alpha laid in the back of the truck unconsciously. I then tried to move him, but he wouldn't budge to even wake up! I tried to carry him, when I noticed he was extremely heavy, that he slipped of my hands! My dad then checked his
