Personal Narrative: How Moving Changed My Life

Sometimes moving can be a difficult thing for people to deal with, because some people are afraid of change. Moving can have a big impact on your life, it could even change the person that you are.When you move many things that you use to do in your daily life usually ends up changing. Sometimes people have to move because of their jobs, family, or possibly their relationship. My family used to live in a rented house for about 16 years. The owner of the house was retiring and wanted to sell the house, so he gave us the option of buying the house or we would have to move so he could sell it. We could not afford the house so we decided to move in with my uncle for the time. We used to live in Amityville in Suffolk county, but after we moved to Freeport we were living in Nassau county, which made getting to school difficult. Since I was in my junior year of high school I did not want to go to a different high school and have to make new friends so I kept going to the same high school since my mom would drive back to Amityville for work. Some people that lived in the house with me would eat some of the food my mom would buy for me and my sister. At the end of day when my mom, my sister, and I would get home we would hope to find a parking spot, because the street would usually be filled with cars. Sometimes it would be difficult to get ready for school, because everyone in house would get ready for work around the same time. I had to share a room with my mom which meant that I would have to go to sleep a lot earlier than what I would be used to. During school days I would usually be tired because I would have to wake up a lot earlier than what I would be used to, because I lived a lot farther away from school.
