I played soccer all throughout elementary school. I was never very good. I wasn't the fastest, the strongest or the most aggressive. Once I got to middle school, I used the excuse that I was “too busy with school to play.” I was relieved once I stopped because I was tired of sucking. As soon as high school hit, I made new friends who it turned out played soccer. Somehow they convinced me to join the school team and I hesitantly went for it. I instantly loved it. I loved the friendships, the hard work and the satisfaction of trying your best to achieve a goal. During the summer, I began practicing every day.
