Personal Narrative: Jelly Belly Roulette

The Roulette Musical I enjoy playing Roulette. Jelly Belly jelly bean Roulette that is. A game of Jelly Belly Roulette is a game with a delicious payoff; or a disgusting punishment. One Jelly Belly could taste as delicious as chocolate pudding, while the other could taste as horrible as dead fish. Each jelly bean looks the same but contains two different flavors, much like life. Many times in my life I felt that life was very similar to a game of Jelly Belly Roulette. Events like playing in my first baseball game, struggling in math, hanging out with friends, etc. As my first year at St. John the Baptist ended, Drama was the only club I felt comfortable with, until sophomore year. at the school Club Fair, I moved from table to table to find club after club that I had no interest in joining besides Drama. Until, one booth at the edge of the fair caught my interest, the Spring Musical. I was hesitant but I approached the booth and signed up for the Spring Musical with feelings of doubt. …show more content…
Bitter, sad, and not very enjoyable. By that point, I had little hope of trying anything I would enjoy doing in high school, Until my freshmen year, until I joined the Drama Club. I had very low expectations for Drama on the day of the first meeting. I entered the room, stood up, and introduced myself. Right then I knew that this club was something different. The over the top improv games we played, the Shakespearian scripts we practiced , and the stage show we performed. It took me completely by surprise. An experience that I thought that would be as distasteful as a rotten egg jelly bean slowly began to taste like the sweetness of a peach jelly
