Jesus Was a Cowboy

Jesus was a cowboy, when he walked this land Out there mending fences, giving folks a hand
He roped the strays in gently, with his cowboy touch He loved this rugged country, and roamed about and such
Not understood by many, but understood by some He came to help the sinner, like me and Johnny Gunn
And when he road his horse, into that bright sunset He set about the course, to mend more fences yet
So give your fears to Jesus and put your tears to rest He’s everything you’ll ever need, that Cowboy I love best
