Personal Narrative-Karts Changed My Life

This was back when I was 10 years old, my mom and dad though still married were seperated. I lived with my mom, but would go visit my father at his house across town whenever I wanted. Ever since I could remember, my dad would buy me many different motor vehicles, which my mom was not amused by. It first started with a small five horsepower go-kart and then an 80cc dirt bike. My love for my little toys took over me, all I wanted to do was drive or ride, which turned into a passion for me. You could always find me in my backyard either working on or riding my kart/bike. Little did I know, my passion would effectively change my life and others. I slept over my dads house this particular night, I remember before going to bed we built a small volcano that you put baking soda and vinegar into for it to erupt, but the clay had to dry so we decided that we will use it the next day. …show more content…
It was a beautiful day outside, just enough clouds in the sky and not so humid, overall a perfect day to spend working on my go-karts. Upon walking outside my dad asked me which go-kart I wanted to work on, either the 5 horsepower kart that was so small I could hardly fit in or the large kart that had huge wheels and had 13 horsepower. Obviously I chose the more badass kart because, well, it was badass. Both of these go-karts have been sitting in his yard for around a year, uncovered and at the will of nature.
