Personal Narrative: Living In The Sugar Land

Living in the Sugar Land, Texas area I really can't complain. I can't say that I grew up in the hood or that I grew up in a horrible house. I live somewhere where you do not have to be nervous to go down the street and get some ice cream at the corner store. Somewhere where a person doesn't hear a gun or police cars every other second. I live somewhere where someone can go down the street to Ms. Johnson house to listen to all her stories about how she has the best kids in the world. Also when her tulips are done growing, you help her pick them out and put them in the new vase she bought for them. Growing up people can say that I had the "easy" life. After my parents got a divorce when I was in kindergarten, I went to live with my mom. She had the better income so I really did not have to worry about any financial issues in the household. Now, I'm not saying that my dad is poor or anything, but who would not want to live with the richer parent? It is weird though because my dad loves all the fancy things. He lives in a huge two-story house with all the nice utilities. While my mom on the other hand, likes to save her money and lives in a small two-bedroom apartment. My mom has the money to get and do whatever she wants, but she does not. She save is it and helps other people with it. I remember her always helping the family with car notes and water bills. That is how I want to be when I get older. I want to have a job where I get enough money to get and do what I want. However, I do not want to use it in that way. I want to help other people out if and/or when they need it. I also want to have leftovers just in case me or my spouse gets fired from our jobs. I just want my family to not have to worry about daddy not being able to take care of them. If I can do that, I will be the happiest dad in the
