It was a hot summer day and sweat covered my face. I had finished a mile run and felt like I was about to collapse. As I strolled into the gym, I breathed a sigh of relief, the gym was icy and with the air conditioning blowing on my back I could finally relax. The gym was mostly empty except for some girls standing near the front door the rest of the class was in the locker rooms getting changed for their next class. On the other hand, I tired of that nonsense school would be over in an hour or two, besides I just wanted to rest before I needed to put on my heavy book bag. I closed my eyes and let myself sink into the chair and for a while all I could hear was the clock ticking. At that point one of the locker doors slammed opened and a person walked towards me. "That's my seat," said a nasally voice. I opened my eyes and took in the boy standing in front of me. The boy was Ryan a shy nerd with a horrible case of lazy eye. He had a cast on his right leg and ignoring his declaration asked what had happened. " I broke it while falling down the stairs," Ryan grumbled looking down at his feet. He seemed so pathetic like a wet cat after it's had a bath. I knew I would give him the chair but before I got the chance to stand a loud, gruffly voice echoed across the room. "Hey little girl, that's his chair," exclaimed one of the girls waiting at the front door. She was short and fat with bright ginger hair that stopped short at her chin. I think her name was Bailey and she was a bully and had the biggest attitude problem a high schooler could have. "I didn't know that," I said kind of annoyed with her tone voice.
