Personal Narrative: Moving To Arizona

Rosewood was a dull and somber place, with a lack of excitement. I moved her about a year ago from Arizona. I had a great life there, with a good support system with family and friends. We moved to Rosewood because my dad got a job offer he couldn’t pass up. My mom also had an opening here at the Rosewood Hospital, so they both benefited by coming here. I didn’t mind moving if it meant my family would be happy, but I had a strange feeling about this town. Many of my friends back in Arizona told me legends and stories about this town. Stories about people randomly dying and disappearing. I was a very paranoid person, and hearing things like this freaked me out. For the past year nothing bad happened here. School had just gotten over and I was walking towards my car to go back home. Parked right beside me was a navy blue cop car. Not often did cop cars go by our school, but I didn’t think to much of it. I was slightly curious, but I knew I couldn’t be so tensed about every little thing I saw. As I was starting my car, I overheard something from the radio in the cop car. The radio said, “All units proceed to highway 99. We have an emergency! There's a body in the woods beside the road. All units copy that”. I was slightly scared that this may be one of those random deaths in the town my friends warned me about, but I couldn't think straight until I saw the crime scene myself.

I was slightly scared to see a dead body, but that’s what curiosity does to someone. It makes them do things they normally would never even think of doing. I drove up to the crime scene to see if I noticed anything odd with the scene, but because I wasn’t related to the victim, I wasn’t allowed to see the body close up, but I could still vaguely see the scene. Everything seemed fine. I know I didn’t have much knowledge in this subject, but it looked similar to the scenes I saw in movies. It had everything a typical homicide
