Personal Narrative: My Ball In Baseball

Every ball I pitch brings me closer to the next strike. It was me my team and the crowd on my side. --Calvin Miller. And the other team and their crowd on the other side getting ready for the baseball championship game. It was two years ago at five fifteen pm in Sugar Grove. We were ranked the second best team. They were ranked the number one team because the beat us twice during season.
My Dad called us in for a quick talk before the game started.
He was telling us,”It’s just a regular old game, now get out there have some fun.”

And that ends the inning. We go back out on the field, and i’m pitching again.
Crowds cheering and yelling, “ Go Calvin let’s get this inning down.”
I go one for one then give up two singles then I go two for two. All I see in my head is the ball coming out of my hand, and flying through the air past the batter's bat as he swings and into my catcher's glove with dust flying everywhere from the ball to end the inning off.
We go to inning six with no other points scored. And then they just start pounding us with points after points. Till we get three outs. Then last half inning to go. We’re up to bat. We come back with in two outs. Our crowd is roaring like a train for us to win. It’s all up to the the batter to not strike out. In comes the ball our batter swings, one crowd roars, but it’s not ours we lost. We shuke hands and were ready for the award ceremony. This lost was like we lost game seven of the world series game. We all got our trophies and headed to our dugout for one last cheer.
“Ready, one, two, three Rookies!!!” We all yell. But next season i’m coming back for that championship win. So look out world Calvin’s coming.
