Personal Narrative: My Bard College Education

I want to identify an environment where my undergraduate degree choices explore resources I had never imagined, in fields I had never considered, for uses I had not thought of exploring.

My Bard College education has been an odyssey, full of practical wisdoms, introductions to new values, ideas, and an enriched understanding of diverse perspectives. I have developed a new kind of political acumen as I have honed my instincts in this unaccompanied environment. I have culled so much from so many remarkable people that I am often left in awe.

Two years of liberal arts education have clarified my ambitions, made the benefits of a history and entrepreneurial grounding evident, and demonstrated how a team-based approach can be a very effective means for inventive thought processes. I have been introduced to a multitude of innovative trajectories to spend my free time that previously never existed. Unfortunately, for a lack of funding for their continuance, many were one-time or short-lived programs that could have also benefitted countless others. The value and power of advanced personal education with experts, supplemented by college educators, handling sophisticated knowledge topics cannot be over emphasized. The next generation, regardless of nationality, desperately needs more of such programs to comprehend complex topics. It is imperative that civic engagement and active participation in our political system is promoted at an early age so constituents are (Choose one: knowledgeable schooled informed) voters who express themselves to leaders intelligently as responsible-citizens from as early on as possible.

Additionally, to further my network to a global scale, I am garnering an in-depth understanding of their relevant histories and
